How it operates
Chartered by the hour with the crew supplied, boarding at a berth in Dubai Marina or on Palm Jumeirah. The charter company holds both the marine licence and the anchorage contract for that berth. The route is agreed with the captain and stays inside the agreed cruising area — typically a coastal run past the Marina skyline, the Palm and the Burj Al Arab — with a swimming stop where the booking allows time for one.

- Dubai Marina — Sits inside the JBR tourist zone with direct pedestrian access from hotels and restaurants. Most of Dubai's small and mid-size charter fleet (roughly 30–60 ft) is based here because the footfall generates walk-in enquiries. Best for shorter charters, easy client access and the Marina skyline / Ain Dubai / Bluewaters run.
- Palm Jumeirah — Positioned for exclusive and VIP charters. Best for Atlantis, Palm crescent and Burj Al Arab sightlines and for clients staying on the Palm who do not want a cross-town transfer.
Regulatory context
Commercial marine charter in Dubai is licensed. The Dubai Maritime Authority (renamed from Dubai Maritime City Authority in 2023 and part of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation) regulates marine craft renting and operating activity; federal flag registration sits with the Federal Transport Authority. Licence applications require, among other things, a signed anchorage contract with a marina or marine club and a declared list of craft.
