Ciel Dubai Marina is the tallest hotel in the world at 377 metres over 82 floors, taking the record from Dubai's own Gevora Hotel (356 m). IHG's own press release, dated 17 November 2025, announces the hotel as open on that date; Wikipedia gives 17 November 2025 as completion and 1 December 2025 as the official opening. With around 1,000 keys it is simultaneously a record-holder and a large-inventory house, which is a rare combination. It is developed and operated by The First Group. It is brand new, so operational maturity should be assessed before large group commitments.
