A demonstration or hands-on session with trained falcons — and on some products hawks, eagles and owls — framed around the bird's role in Bedouin hunting culture and modern Emirati identity.
Varies by operator and by format; confirmed per product at the time of booking.
How it operates
Two formats. (1) A camp or in-safari falcon show at sunset, where a falconer flies the bird to a lure and guests photograph it on the glove. (2) A dedicated falconry safari: a 4x4 nature drive in the DDCR looking for houbara bustard, Arabian oryx and sand gazelle, followed by a supervised session where guests handle and fly the birds themselves at an Emirati falcon hunting camp, with Arabic coffee and dates on arrival.
For agents
Operating and selling mechanics
- Listed by DDCR as a permitted in-reserve activity. DDCR's own reserve history dates a partnership with Royal Shaheen Events, to provide falconry demonstrations and interactive experiences for tour operators and visitors, to 2011 — a checkable, primary-sourced fact.
- The hands-on version is a genuinely differentiated VIP and media product; the camp show is standard inclusion and should not be sold as exclusive.
- Also delivers as a MICE welcome-reception element at a desert venue.

Made to measure
Our Dubai team arranges the hotels, transfers and excursions on the ground across all seven Emirates — so the programme is assembled around the dates you send us, not around a fixed departure calendar.
The fleet is ours, and so is the team that dispatches it.
